My car does not have much tech by today’s standards, but it was pretty cool 35 years ago.
My cruise control does NOT work
Stock AM/FM and the highest tech item - digital clock!
A/C doesn’t work, but who cares? I have STOCK CASSETTE PLAYER, an honest to God cigarette lighter and a properly labeled ashtray. Long throw shifter FTW.
The price I pay for putting the top up is that I just locked my keys in the car. Fuck. At least I’m at the bar 5 blocks from home.
Have some 80s. My old friend from back in the LA days, Severo, is in this band (but not in this video)
Happy Friday, Oppo.

Why do you need A/C when you have a Targa top?

if it makes you feel better, there is almost zero chance that a/c is going to work in a car this old.

I’ll field that one: Some days it’s so hot that having the roof off isn’t much relief so you use AC instead. Sometimes it’s so hot that you use AC
and
have the roof off. Sometimes you need the roof on to avoid sunburn. Sometimes it’s hot but raining.

Have you looked into the cruise control? I had it on my ‘84 Z31 in 2012, and it was broken on the Z32 I bought afterwards but I figured out what was broke’d and replaced it cheaply and easily!
Even if you don’t use it, having an old car like that where
everything works
feels great. You get to make fun of people with 20-30 year newer cars who don’t have those features - people who are used to looking down on people like us.

I spotted the 80s Toyota tells early. Good looking well appointed interior makes my 1982 Toyota 4x4 even with the SR5 package seem spartan.
